About This Contest
CHS Open Contest 2026 celebrates the power, grace, and determination of women in sports. We’re looking for images that capture authentic moments — from the intensity of competition to the quiet focus before a game.
Submission Deadline: April 30, 2026 — Entries close at midnight EST
Rules
- Open to all CHS members
- Maximum 10 entries per photographer
- Photos must be original work taken within the last 2 years
- Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP (max 5 MB each)
- No watermarks or borders
- Basic editing is allowed; heavy compositing is not
What Judges Look For
Every entry is scored across four categories, each worth up to 10 points. Judges evaluate composition and framing, technical quality and exposure, the story behind the moment, and the overall emotional impact of the image.
Prizes
- Grand Prize Winner — Featured in the permanent collection with a hero showcase, personalized winner badge, and social media feature
- Official Selections — Gallery placement in the collection and a selection badge
